लोकसभा चुनावों से पहले अंतरिम बजट के जरिए सभी वर्गों को खुश करने का मोदी सरकार के पास आखिरी मौका है. वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण अंतरिम बजट पेश कर रही हैं और ये उम्मीद की जा रही है कि बजट में टैक्सपेयर्स, किसानों, सरकारी कर्मचारियों को लुभाने के लिए लोकलुभावन एलान किए जायेंगे साथ ही विकास की रफ्तार को गति देने, साथ ही आधारभूत ढांचे की मजबूती के लिए कैपिटल एक्सपेंडिचर के लिए सरकार ज्यादा पैसे का प्रावधान करेगी.

मोदी सरकार की नजर सैलरीड क्लास से लेकर किसानों महिलाएं सभी पर है. सैलरीड क्लास और महिलाएं बीते एक साल से महंगाई से परेशान हैं. ऐसे में ये उम्मीद की जा रही है कि निर्मला सीतारमण महंगाई से राहत देने के लिए टैक्स के मोर्चे पर टैक्सपेयर्स को बड़ी राहत दे सकती हैं. अंतरिम बजट में स्टैंडर्ड डिडक्शन (Standard Deduction) की लिमिट को मौजूदा 50,000 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 75,000 रुपये किया जा सकता है. साथ ही नए टैक्स रिजिम के तहत फिलहाल 7 लाख रुपये तक के आय पर इनकम टैक्स नहीं देना होता है. इस लिमिट को बढ़ाकर 7.50 लाख रुपये किया जा सकता है. इलाज पर बढ़ते खर्च और मेडिकल इंश्योरेंस के महंगे होने के बाद मेडिक्लेम प्रीमियम के भुगतान पर टैक्स छूट क्लेम करने के लिए डिडक्शन की लिमिट को भी बढ़ाया जा सकता है.

बचत को प्रोस्ताहित करने के लिए 80 सी के तहत निवेश की सीमा को 1.50 लाख रुपये से ऊपर बढ़ाने और होम लोन के ब्याज पर मिलने वाली टैक्स छूट की सीमा को 2 लाख रुपये से ज्यादा करने का भी सरकार पर दबाव है. मिडिल क्लास पर टैक्स का बोझ कम होगा तो इससे खपत को बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी जिसका फायदा अर्थव्यवस्था को होगा.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the interim Budget 2024 on Thursday (February 1) at the Lok Sabha. This time, the minister will equal the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai when she presents her sixth straight Budget. Sitharaman, the first full-time woman finance minister of the country, has presented five full Budgets since July 2019 and will present an interim or vote-on-account budget today.

With the presentation of interim Budget, she will surpass the records of her predecessors like Manmohan Singh, Arun Jaitley, P Chidambaram, and Yashwant Sinha, who had tabled five Budgets in a row.

As the Lok Sabha elections are expected to be held in the next few months, Sitharaman's interim Budget may not contain any major policy changes. Last month, Sitharaman, while speaking at an industry event, had ruled out any ‘spectacular announcement’ in the interim Budget, saying it would just be a vote-on-account before the general elections.
