Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says incoming prime minister Rishi Sunak has no mandate to rule and the Conservatives should call a general election.

She also said Mr Sunak “should not unleash more austerity” on the country.

Her reaction came as the former chancellor became the incoming prime minister after winning the Conservative leadership race.
