More than a dozen NHS trusts and ambulance services have declared critical incidents over the festive period, with more than 50 others saying they've been struggling to cope.

Sky's Chief North of England Correspondent Greg Milam reports from Hull, where he's been speaking to a man whose wife died after waiting more than sixteen hours for an ambulance.

Teresa Simpson died at Hull Royal Infirmary in November after suffering a cardiac arrest and lack of oxygen to the brain.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service have offered him sincere condolences in a statement.

"Our patient relations team has received correspondence from him raising concerns about our response to this incident. They will liaise directly with Mr Simpson about specific details relating to this."
