Dr Brian McKaig, Medical Director, Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust has welcomed the new NHS plan but said it is important we recognise this is a "long term fix" and it does not solve "problems we have in the present time."

The NHS workforce plan outlines how the government is going to fill the 112,000 jobs currently sitting empty across the service and how it'll recruit enough doctors, nurses, midwives and other staff to meet the demands of our ageing population over the next 15 years.
