New Delhi police are continuing their probe Friday into a small bomb that went off near the Israeli embassy earlier in the day.

According to police, no one was injured in the blast but some cars parked nearby were damaged. They said it was definitely an explosion, but determining the nature of the blast would require chemical examination of evidence, which was underway.

The explosion happened shortly after 5 p.m. local time, as Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were participating in a military ceremony one kilometre away.
