The ongoing crisis in Punjab deepened today with Navjot Singh Sidhu's surprise resignation as the chief of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. "I told you so... he is not a stable man and not fit for the border state of Punjab," said Amarinder Singh, the former Chief Minister, shortly after. Punjab cabinet minister Razia Sultana also quit hours later "in solidarity with Navjot Sidhu".
