NASA UFO report finds no evidence UAP have extraterrestrial origins | FULL

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said on Thursday that after a yearlong study into UFOs, the independent panel found no evidence that Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) had extraterrestrial origins.

"We did not find any evidence that UAP have an extraterrestrial origin but we don't know what these UAP are," he said.

In its 33-page report, an independent team commissioned by NASA cautioned that the negative perception surrounding UFOs poses an obstacle to collecting data. But officials said NASA’s involvement should help reduce the stigma around UAP.

The 16-member panel noted that artificial intelligence and machine learning are essential for identifying rare occurrences, including UFOs.

In recent years, the U.S. government has done an about-face on public information on UAP after decades of stonewalling and deflecting.
