'Bahubali' Mukhtar Ansari, once synonymous with terror in Purvanchal, has been in jail for many years. About 45 cases of murder and kidnapping are going on against Mukhtar in different districts of UP. The UP Police have taken such stern action against the Mafia Don and his associates. The police have arrested 96 members of the gang and have also taken action against 75 other criminals.
