In the first King's Speech in over 70 years, the monarch outlined Rishi Sunak's key legislative priorities as the country years up for a general election.

Tougher sentences for the country's most serious offenders and a crackdown on grooming took centre stage.

Wednesday is the first of five days that will see members of Parliament debating the speech in the House of Commons.

Wednesday - Breaking down barriers to opportunity;
Thursday - Making Britain a clean energy superpower;
Monday - Building an NHS fit for the future;
Tuesday - Securing high, sustained economic growth in every part of the country;
Wednesday - Reducing violent crime and raising confidence in policing and the criminal justice system
