Nearly 800,000 people were displaced in northern Mozambique during a four-year conflict between an armed group and the government.
Al-Shabab fighters targeted the resource-rich region until Rwandan forces helped push them out.
Now people are waiting for it to be safe enough to return to their homes.
Al Jazeera's Malcolm Webb reports from Mbau, Mozambique.
