A Nova Scotia mother is calling for change to tissue donor requirements in Canada after she says her son's dying wish to be a tissue donor was denied due to his sexual orientation.

While her 26-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer, he was grateful to hear his tissue could still go to people in need. But his tissues were later rejected when he died last November due to his "homosexual status."

Megan King reports on how screening guidelines for tissue donation come from the U.S. and how the loved ones of the 26-year-old are now fighting for change.
