Some quarters in Marrakech currently sit in rubble and debris, 48 hours after Morocco's deadly earthquake, leaving many people without safe accommodations. The country's traditional mud brick, clay, stone and rough wood housing have added to the vast destruction.
Morocco's most powerful earthquake since at least 1900 has killed at least 2,497 people, the state news agency said in its latest update of the human toll on Monday, with thousands more injured and many still missing, particularly in the High Atlas mountains.
Crystal Goomansingh reports from Marrakech.
