The air quality level in Delhi turned worse the day after Diwali as people burst firecrackers despite a ban. "The whole nation is facing this problem. More than 80 per cent of the population breathes bad air. These AQIs (air quality indexes) don't really mean much because bad air is just bad air. There are no substantive air quality improvements," said Shibani Ghosh, environmental lawyer.
