Montecito floods: Star studded town forced to evacuate

The evacuation order for Montecito, affecting about 10,000 people, came on the fifth anniversary of a mudslide that killed 23 and destroyed more than 100 homes in the coastal enclave.

The town is home to a host of celebrities, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres - who urged Montecito residents to "stay safe" - and posted a video on Instagram from near her home beside a rushing river.
