There have been fears that the Russia-Ukraine war is widening and that Russia has its sights set on former Soviet republic Moldova.
Last week, a series of explosions were reported in different parts of Transnistria, a Russian-backed breakaway region in Moldova which borders Ukraine.
Blasts tore through the state security headquarters in Tiraspol on Monday and two explosions damaged Soviet-era radio masts on Tuesday in the village of Maiac in Grigoriopol district.
The attacks cause concerns that Russia is creating a pretext for invading the region.
Al Jazeera's Neave Barker reports from Moldova's capital Chisinau.
