Armed Forces minister James Heappey has said the whole Cabinet green-lighted the controversial mini-budget as he said the Prime Minister could not afford to make any more mistakes.

He told Sky News there was "no hiding from the fact" a mistake was made over the mini-budget but "there was no opportunity" for more errors.

New chancellor Jeremy Hunt has overturned his predecessor Kwasi Kwarteng's measures as Ms Truss apologised in a TV interview for the economic turmoil.
