Minister: Government is 'in listening mode' ahead of crunch vote on Rwanda bill

The new minister for illegal immigration Michael Tomlinson has told Sky News that his job this afternoon will be "standing up for the government, saying this is the toughest piece of legislation" to tackle illegal migration and rescue the embattled Rwanda scheme.

He added that the government is "in listening mode", and he intends to be "constructive" in his engagements with MPs.
