A migrant caravan arrived in Mexico City on the day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the culmination of the largest pilgrimage of the Catholic faith on the continent. However, the police denied them entrance to the Guadalupe basilica. Clashes broke out, leaving at least 4 migrants and 15 police officers injured, while children and elderly people were reportedly affected by tear gas.
