Meta is restricting news content for some Canadians

Last month, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, started blocking some Canadians from seeing online news content. Google could follow suit. It’s in response to federal legislation that would make Meta and other tech companies pay for linking to or otherwise using content from media companies in Canada.
