1. The Texas gunman who murdered 19 children and two teachers posted an online warning minutes before he attacked the school, Governor Greg Abbott said.

3. Russian forces continue to shell 40 towns in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas as Moscow seeks to surround Ukrainian forces, outnumbering them in some places.

5. Oklahoma governor signed into law the strictest abortion ban in the United States. The law prohibits abortions from the time of conception and allows private citizens to sue those who help women terminate their pregnancies.
