Individuals named in investigations into the death of soccer legend Diego Maradona attended a hearing on Friday, after officials added two nurses and a psychologist who reportedly treated the soccer star, to the case.

Maradona died of a heart attack on Nov. 25, 2020 at the age of 60 after undergoing brain surgery earlier in the month for a blood clot. Authorities are investigating any possible negligence in the death.

The neurosurgeon who performed Maradona's brain surgery, Leopoldo Luiz, and psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov have been under investigation. Recently, nurses Dahiana Gisela Madrid and Ricardo Almiron as well as psychologist Carlos Diaz have been added to the investigation and are reportedly cooperating with authorities.

Maradona was regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time. He had battled alcohol and drug addiction for much of his life.
