Man charged over Windsor Castle crossbow incident

A 20-year-old man has been charged with intending to injure or alarm the Queen under the Treason Act following an incident at Windsor Castle on Christmas day last year.

Jaswant Singh Chail, from Southampton, was arrested on the grounds carrying a crossbow.

He is currently in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 17 August.
