In a significant breakthrough for the 24-year-old cold case murder of Irma Palasics, police have arrested a 68-year-old man this morning.

Palasics was assaulted and murdered in her home by an intruder in 1999, and for decades, the case remained a mystery.

But in 2014, #60Mins looked into the groundbreaking DNA investigation that not only gave detectives significant leads into what happened to Palasics, but also linked her case to another seemingly unrelated crime.
