During this, Sharad Pawar told about many problems facing him. Also said that if his nephew Ajit Pawar had anything in mind, he should have spoken.During their meeting, Sharad Pawar said, "NCP was born in Mumbai 24 years ago. In these 24 years, many workers came to the Legislature. Some became MPs, MLAs and ministers. Got to see how a normal family worker can run the state. An attempt was made to throw light on the life of the people of this state. There are many problems. I worked with some. Many people had different ways of working. “He said,” At that time my method was to talk to people and listen to them while taking any decision but today it is not like that in the country. Today there is discontent in the country and in all the states. If democracy has to be saved then dialogue has to be started.

एनसीपी में बगावत के बाद बुधवार (5 जुलाई) को अपने विधायकों की एकजुटता के मद्देनजर पार्टी प्रमुख शरद पवार ने मुंबई के वाईबी चव्हाण केंद्र पर बैठक बुलाई. इस दौरान शरद पवार ने उनके सामने कई संकट होने की बात कही. साथ ही कहा कि अगर उनके भतीजे अजित पवार के मन में कोई बात थी तो उन्हें बात करनी चाहिए थी.
अपनी बैठक के दौरान शरद पवार ने कहा, ''24 साल पहले एनसीपी का जन्म मुंबई में हुआ. इन 24 वर्षों में अनेक कार्यकर्ता विधानमंडल में आए. कुछ सांसद, विधायक और मंत्री बने. एक सामान्य परिवार का कार्यकर्ता कैसे राज्य चला सकता है, यह देखने को मिला. इस राज्य के लोगों के जीवन पर प्रकाश डालने की कोशिश की गई. संकट तो बहुत हैं. मैंने कइयों के साथ काम किया. कई लोगों के काम करने के तरीके अलग-अलग थे.''उन्होंने कहा, ''उस समय मेरा तरीका लोगों से बात करना और कोई निर्णय लेने पर उनकी बात सुनना था लेकिन आज देश में ऐसा नहीं है. आज देश और सभी राज्यों में असंतोष है. अगर लोकतंत्र को बचाना है तो संवाद शुरू करना होगा.
