Maharashtra Gets Dedicated Department For Disabled Welfare

A dedicated department for the welfare of differently-abled persons with an allocated fund of Rs 1,143 crore has been announced by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Maharashtra is the first state to have an independent Department of Disabled Welfare in India, said Bapurao Kane, president of Prahar Apang Kranti organisation.
