Chennai celebrates 383rd Madras Day today, celebrating what the city stands for. Nearly four centuries ago, the land the British bought to develop a port for the east India company became the foundation for Madras the metropolitan city, now Chennai. Sam Daniel spoke to Srivatsan Sankaran, Founder of Madras Photo Bloggers, and Shwetha Raju, the curator of an exhibition, showcasing photographs and paintings by hearing impaired artists.
