Macau is marking the 21st anniversary of its return to China from Portuguese control.
The gambling hub, like Hong Kong, is a political experiment that began in the late 1990s when China reclaimed both territories from colonial powers.
But unlike Hong Kong, Macau has become a model for Beijing’s “one country, two systems” policy.
