Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will not be raising the case of two Kiwi brothers imprisoned in Thailand when he holds a bilateral meeting with his Thai counterpart Srettha Thavisin in Bangkok today.

Hamish and Oscar Day were arrested in Phuket last month while on holiday after getting into a scuffle with a police officer and taking his gun off him.

Thai police said the brothers were speeding on their motorbikes and failed to stop.

Police said the brothers first tried to bribe the officer and then assaulted him.
