Los Angeles: Man hangs on as he's caught in a raging torrent of water

Firefighters in Los Angeles raced to save a man holding on to a concrete wall after having been caught up in surging water.

He was in danger of being swept away into a fast flowing nearby river.

It was not immediately known how the man found himself in the water, Los Angeles Fire Department said.
