Marjorie Wells, who is 91 and lives alone, says loneliness can be devastating but "it's no good feeling sorry for yourself".

The retired maths teacher has only left her house once since the lockdown in March.

She says the restrictions she experienced during WWII has helped her cope during the pandemic.
