The United States has charged former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who was extradited to the U.S. on Thursday, for alleged participation in a cocaine-importation conspiracy and related firearms offenses, the Justice Department said. Damian Williams, United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York will join Attorney General Merrick Garland and Administrator of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Anne Milgram to announce the unsealing of the indictment.
