Pope Francis arrives in Quebec City, where a welcome ceremony will take place at a historic site and one of the official residences of Canada’s Governor General Mary Simon, who is the first indigenous person to serve in the role that represents Queen Elizabeth. The pope will meet with Simon and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as well as civil authorities and representatives from Indigenous groups.
