Delhi AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria has said that CT scans are being misused and can be harmful. He said, data from the International Atomic Energy Agency for Radiation Safety and Medicine have shown that frequent CT scans can increase the risk of cancer in later life, especially when administered at an early age.

दिल्ली एम्स के डायरेक्टर डॉ रणदीप गुलेरिया ने कहा है कि सीटी स्कैन का दुरुपयोग हो रहा है और ये हानिकारक भी हो सकता है। उन्होंने कहा, विकिरण सुरक्षा और चिकित्सा के लिए इंटरनेशनल एटॉमिक एनर्जी एजेंसी के आंकड़ों से पता चला है कि लगातार सीटी स्कैन के कारण बाद के जीवन में कैंसर का खतरा बढ़ सकता है, खासकर कम उम्र में कराए जाने पर।
