Libyan and Moroccan-Canadians are stepping up to help the communities impacted in the two North African countries devastated in the past week by natural disasters.

More than 2,000 people have been killed following the magnitude 6.8 earthquake in Morocco and more than 11,300 have been killed following storm Daniel's surge through Libya.

As Sean Previl reports, the communities here in Canada are not just working to get aid to the countries, they're raising awareness so that even as the weeks go by, Canadians and the global community remember that those impacted will still need help for months and even years to come.
