It’s been nearly two days since the lives of more than 11,000 lives were lost after the city of Derna, Libya was nearly wiped off the map by a devastating flood brought forth by Storm Daniel.
Though internal and international aid is on the way to Libyans, concerns are rising that there simply won’t be enough to match the scale of the unexpected catastrophe.
On Friday, Canada announced $5 million of aid funding. Shelter, food and key medical care are the top priorities for victims impacted by the flooding.
