Officials in western Libya have detained 4,000 migrants over the past week who are being held in crowded centres in and around the capital, Tripoli.
While activists say conditions in these centres are poor and unsanitary, Libyan officials - with the support of the UN's migration agency - launched a vaccination drive against COVID-19 this week.
Libya is a key transit point for people fleeing war and poverty in Africa and the Middle East who hope to get to Europe.
