Nabih Berri has been re-elected speaker of Lebanon's parliament, a post he has held for the last 30 years.
But this time was different, Berri failed to get the endorsement of a majority and won with the slimmest of margins.
Some see him as a symbol of a failed system, riddled with corruption and a group of new legislators marched to parliament on Tuesday, calling for change.
Al Jazeera's Zeina Khodr reports from Beirut.
