Lebanon has warned that a deadly cholera outbreak is “spreading rapidly”, with cases rising after the virulent disease spread from neighbouring Syria.
At least ten people have died, and nearly 450 cases have been confirmed in Lebanon in just two weeks.
Health officials have blamed the country’s financial and political struggles, which have left citizens with poor and crumbling sanitation infrastructure.

Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Beirut, Lebanon.
