An offshore drilling rig is set to begin searching for oil and gas off the coast of Lebanon.
The cash-strapped country is banking on striking it rich to overcome the worst financial crisis in its modern history.
But it will take months to know if there are energy reserves to be exploited - and years before any benefits start pouring in.
