The leader of the British Virgin Islands has been arrested for alleged drug smuggling and money laundering in the United States.

Premier Andrew Fahie was detained in Miami, by US agents posing as members of a Mexican drug cartel.

He's alleged to have agreed a payment of more than half a million pounds, to allow traffickers to use his territory's ports.
