The US is facing yet another upswing in what many call is an unsustainable crisis on the country’s southern border with Mexico. The latest so called “surge” - a seemingly never-ending influx of thousands upon thousands of migrants during the last few weeks - puts a strain on border communities in US states like Texas, Arizona, and California, as well as on US federal authorities.
