Carrying his rifle down by his side, Major General Chris Donahue, commander of the storied 82nd Airborne Division, became the last US soldier to board the final flight out of Afghanistan a minute before midnight on Monday. US forces left Afghanistan before the deadline and Taliban took control of Kabul airport. India today, for the first time, admitted to have held diplomatic talks with the Taliban. An Indian envoy met a leader of the terrorist group in Doha, Qatar's capital. The meeting took place following a request by the new rulers of the strife-hit country.
