The GST Council has decided to cut the rate of GST on medicines and testing equipment related to the treatment of corona. The new rate of GST will be applicable till 30 September 2021. Two drugs of black fungus have been made GST free and the tax on Remdesivir has been reduced from 12 per cent to 5 per cent.
