King makes history with Germany speech

King Charles has addressed the German parliament in a first for any British monarch, as part of a diplomatic offensive thought to repair bonds broken through Brexit.

The King begins by saying it's a "great honour" for him and his wife Camilla to be there and to be invited to "renew our bond of friendship" with Germany.

Speaking of the relationship between Germany and the UK, Charles went on to share that "this friendship meant so much to my beloved mother, the Queen".
