Peel Regional Police say a woman who was allegedly kidnapped in Brampton early Sunday has been found safe, but the suspect remains outstanding.

Const. Heather Cannon said a 23-year-old woman walked into 22 division in Brampton by herself around 7:30 p.m. and appeared to be in good health.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Kwami Garwood — the suspect in the incident — has still not been found, officers said.

Police said the suspected kidnapper is considered armed and dangerous — and is also wanted for first-degree murder in a slaying in Toronto last summer.
