A giant drum, known as the Ngadji, was the centrepiece of culture and spiritual beliefs for Kenya's Pokomo people.
It was stolen by colonialists about 120 years ago.
It has been in a cupboard in the British Museum in London, since.
Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb went to the Tana River to meet Pokomo elders, who have joined many others across Africa in urging former colonial powers to return their stolen heritage.
