Protesters have again taken to the streets of the Kenyan capital Nairobi, despite the president backing down in the face of anger over planned tax increases on everyday goods.

They angrily shout "Ruto must go" as some throw rocks and glass bottles at police while dodging tear gas canisters and stun grenades.
