The Kenyan cult leader accused of urging his followers to starve themselves to death has appeared in court in the coastal town of Malindi.
Paul Nthenge Mackenzie - and eight co-accused - face several charges including murder, "terrorism" and kidnapping.
Police have exhumed 109 bodies so far, with the Red Cross estimating hundreds more are still missing.
