The city of Toronto saw a North American record set this past weekend after more than 26,000 COVID-19 vaccinations were given on Sunday and as of Monday, the city also met another milestone with more than one million Torontonians fully vaccinated from the novel coronavirus.

Mayor John Tory said earlier Monday that the city is adding 125,000 new appointments weekly for the next three weeks in a move to keep ahead of the Delta variant, first identified in India and is considered much more transmissible.

Matthew Bingley reports on how the variant is impacting other countries, even ones with a "COVID Zero" approach, and why Toronto's own ramp up is trying to prevent that same situation from happening in the city.
