कांग्रेस नेता दिग्विजय सिंह ने सवाल उठाए थे कि क्या कभी किसी महिला को RSS का सरसंघचालक बनाया जाएगा? दरअसल संघ की दशहरा रैली में पहली बार किसी महिला को मुख्य अतिथि बनाया गया था. पर्वतारोही संतोष यादव मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर दशहरा रैली का हिस्सा बनीं थी. इस मौके पर संघ प्रमुख मोहन भागवत ने महिला सशक्तीकरण की बात कही थी.
